What ModCheck collects
ModCheck is a static informational website. It does not require an account, upload files, request a game login, or ask for an AI/API key. We do not intentionally collect names, passwords, payment information, Minecraft account details, or the URLs entered into the on-page source checker.
Cloudflare may process limited technical request information, such as IP address, browser information, and security logs, to serve and protect the site. That processing is governed by Cloudflare’s own policies and configuration.
How the link checker works
The source checker runs in your browser. It reads the URL you type to compare its hostname and path against a small, public list of recorded project pages. It does not upload the URL, download the linked file, execute files, or provide a malware verdict.
If ModCheck later adds an external URL-reputation service, this policy will be updated before the feature is enabled. The page will identify the provider, what is sent to it, the purpose, and the retention/handling information available from that provider.
Third-party links and services
This site links to external project hosts and creator pages such as CurseForge and YouTube. Opening an external link means that site receives your request under its own privacy policy. We also load Google Fonts; Google may receive technical request data needed to deliver the font.
ModCheck does not control third-party content, download files, or make those services safe by linking to them. Check the publisher’s project page and policies before using a third-party service.
Cookies and analytics
ModCheck does not currently set advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. If privacy-friendly analytics or advertising is added later, this page will be updated before use and any legally required consent choices will be provided.

For a privacy question, correction, or removal request, email contact@modcheck.org. Include the page URL and enough detail to identify the request. We may need to retain the message and correspondence long enough to respond and keep an editorial correction record.
Policy changes
Material changes will be recorded with a revised effective date at the top of this page. This policy does not replace the privacy policies of the external sites you choose to visit.
