Quick answer: Bedrock and PE use add-ons, not Java JAR files.

Bedrock search demand is high, but “Verity Bedrock” can mean more than one community add-on. Treat each project as separate: its creator, release history, behavior pack, resource pack, experiments, and interactions may differ.

Do not install: a .jar file on mobile, console, or Minecraft for Windows Bedrock. Look for the specific add-on instructions on the selected project page.

Bedrock / PE installation checklist

  1. Check your Minecraft Bedrock version against the file’s published version.
  2. Open the add-on from the project listing and let Minecraft import it.
  3. Create a new test world before enabling it in a valued save.
  4. Enable the required behavior and resource packs.
  5. Turn on only the experiments explicitly required by that project.
  6. Restart the world if the pack does not appear.

Mobile and console note

PE is the older name people use for Minecraft mobile. Some add-ons may import on Android or iOS but have different performance limits or platform restrictions. The project listing—not a generic tutorial—should determine compatibility.

Do not combine instructions

The two add-ons share a character name, but they do not publish the same setup. For example, Verity BE documents a debugger connection and says cheats are required; PnTMC instead documents its own play flow and warns that its AI can be resource intensive. A tutorial must identify which author/project it applies to before its steps are useful.

Mobile / PE decision rule

“PE” is a searcher term for mobile Bedrock, not a separate Java format. Match the add-on’s published Bedrock build and test it in a new world. On low-power devices, treat an AI-backed add-on as a performance risk until you have tested it yourself.
