Quick answer: install from the project page in a clean test setup.
Most “how to install Verity Mod” problems start before installation: the wrong edition, a file copied from a mirror, or an unsupported Minecraft build. Pick the project first and follow its current file notes.
Universal install order
- Back up a world you care about.
- Identify Java or Bedrock/PE.
- Open the selected creator’s project page.
- Match the exact release to your installed Minecraft build.
- Read required loaders, dependencies, packs, experiments, and setup notes.
- Install in a new profile or test world.
- Only then move to a normal survival world.
Why a clean test setup matters
It separates a mod issue from an existing modpack conflict. It also gives you a safe place to learn whether the project expects a command, item, behavior pack, AI provider, or world setting.
Installation decision tree
Use the path that matches your file format
.jarStop if you play Bedrock/PE. On Java, match the file to the published Minecraft version and loader before placing it in a clean profile’s mods folder.
.mcaddonStop if you play Java. On Bedrock, import it, activate the stated packs, then enable only the experiments that its own project page requires.
Read the creator’s current instructions first. Never paste an API key or personal information into a generic guide or anonymous site.
Why this page does not offer a universal “five-click install”
That would be inaccurate. Verity JE, Verity BE, and PnTMC’s add-on publish different versions and setup requirements. A useful install guide tells you where the common path ends and project-specific instructions begin.
